Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. Her father was Dominican as was her mother, while her father is Puerto Rican. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father was Dominican. The year 2010 saw her move together with her family members to the Dominican Republic where they spent for the next seven years. Zoe started to discover an appreciation for dance when she lived in Dominican Republic. At the prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy Zoe took ballet classes along with other forms of dancing. Not only did her training provide an excellent outlet for the enthusiastic and energetic youngster, it would also prove as a great prelude to the beginning of the professional career of an actor. At age 17, Zoe and her family moved back home to the United States where her love for dance followed and an desire to perform in the theater grew greater.
